چکیده
Abstract It is a well known fact that economic development and distance to the equator are positively correlated variables in world today. perhaps less as recently 1500 C.E. it was other way around. The present paper provides theory of why ‘latitude gradient’ changed sign course last half millennium. In particular, we develop dynamic model physiological which households decide upon number nutrition their offspring. this setting demonstrate relatively high metabolic costs fertility, may have emerged due positive selection towards greater cold tolerance locations away from equator, would work stifle during pre-industrial times, yet allow for an early onset sustained growth. As result, suggests reversal fortune whereby activity gradually shifts process long-term development. Our empirical results give supporting evidence our hypothesis.

The demographic transition and economic growth: implications for development policy
An important transition in the economic history of countries occurs when they move from a regime of low prosperity, high child mortality and high fertility to a state of high prosperity, low child mortality and low fertility. Researchers have proposed various theories to explain this demographic transition and its relation to economic growth. In this article, we test the validity of some of the...
متن کاملGrowth and Functional Development in 6 to 10 Years Old Soccer Players: Constraints and Possibilities
Sport and more specifically football is an important asset in youth lives. It is widely considered that biological maturity influences physical performance. Relationships between body size and performance are partly confounded by age. In fact, age is positively associated to strength and motor performance, even when height and weight are controlled. Studies on young footballer have been start...
متن کاملPhysiological and Pathological Roles for MicroRNAs: Implications for Immunity Complications
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small non-coding regulatory RNAs molecules with a size of approximately 22 nucleotides that are implicated in regulating gene expression at the post-transcriptional regulatory levels. Inflammatory disorders especially autoimmune diseases (ADs) occur from an abnormal immune response of body against cells of their own specific tissues or multiple organ systems leading to ch...
